It can be a challenge to recover from a stroke. You may need to re-learn how to walk, speak clearly and retrain your muscles. This can all be mentally and physically exhausting.  Not being able to complete tasks you could once do can be very frustrating. Rehabilitation can take months to years.

Having a carer trained in dealing with your condition can make a whole world of difference. They will not only provide support for tasks you need assistance with such as daily chores, food preparation and more personal tasks. But they will also provide companionship and understanding. It’s good to have someone to talk to when you are going through an emotional time. Your carer will be a shoulder to lean on physically and emotionally.
